ABOUT ME
My name is Conroy Delouche, a multimedia journalist at heart and by trade, with a passion for telling stories. That drive has carried me from the University of Missouri and KOMU, to Rocky Top Tennessee country, and back home to Texas.
Before moving back home to Texas, I was a weekend anchor and reporter at WVLT in Knoxville, TN from August 2011 until the end of May 2013. I shot, wrote and edited all of my own stories, while posting pictures and updates to Twitter and Facebook. It wasn't just to inform the viewers, but also to engage them. These are skills that translate to any side of journalism or media platform. I also reported in the mountains of eastern Kentucky at WYMT for two years. For my work, I captured two AP awards, including Best TV Reporter. Right now, I am the television director at Strake Jesuit College Prep in Houston, TX. It's the school I first developed my dream of working in television. Although I'm not working in a newsroom, I mentor and teach my students the crafts of shooting and editing, and the trade of journalism. We are also responsible for recording all events and sports at the school. I've loved my job, but I'm ready to be back in a newsroom. Thanks for visiting ConroyDelouche.com! |
