Destiny Keathley was just 11 years old when she was diagnosed with inoperable brain cancer. Despite her illness, she still went to school and kept her spirits up. In October, her teachers and principal organized a formal dance in her honor, and she was named queen of the Ball. |
|

At Strake Jesuit, some teachers are experimenting with "flipping" the classroom. Instead of in-class lectures, the students watch pre-recorded videos at home, then discuss them the next day. They spend most of class doing activities to supplement the video, while the teacher answers any questions the students may have. It allows the students to guide their own learning.
